What Does Salvation Mean?

Studying the Word every day is easy and fun. All I use is my bible, a notebook and pen, www.blueletterbible.com for references to the original language, and of course, the Holy Spirit!

Here's a question for today: does salvation from sins just mean that when you die you go to heaven and be with the Lord? Or does it mean much more than that?

Answer: Actually, if you look at Romans 10:9-10 and the meaning of the original language as well as some of the other scriptures in the NT, you will find that salvation means being saved, rescued, and delivered out of the kingdom of darkness to which we were naturally born through the first Adam AND THEN IMMEDIATELY being translated into a new, heavenly kingdom by way of a new, spiritual birth through the second Adam (Jesus).

At that moment, we go from being a sinner (our first spiritual condition) to being a new creation in Christ Jesus (our new/current spiritual condition). We become children of the living God, filled with His Holy Spirit. Now, that's the good news of the Gospel!
